Our goal has always been to manufacture long-lasting products, which is fundamentally close to the idea of sustainability. Nevertheless, years ago we had to rethink our work because we realized that some of our processes had to be changed.
Today, shoes & crafts in Munich use vegetable-tanned leather, the tanning centers of which consist of roots, fruit and wood and are therefore completely free of harmful substances.
The shoes are partly made of rawhide and then colored, patinated and finished by hand layer by layer.
This gives them a unique aura of craftsmanship and an unmistakable shine
But that also gives us the opportunity to control the entire chain, as we can say today, we work cleanly.
The second component of sustainability is the construction of the shoes. With a few small exceptions, when we want to follow a fashion trend or the material doesn't allow it, all shoes are sewn and therefore durable at the same time.
